From Farmer’s Daughter to Miss Universe Andhra Pradesh 2024 – Chandana Jayaram

Chandana Jayaram is a fashion model, content creator, endurance cyclist, and Miss Universe Andhra Pradesh 2024.

Born in a small village in Kuppam to farming parents, she proudly calls herself a farmer’s daughter. Her parents worked tirelessly to provide her and her siblings with the best education. At 17, Chandana moved to Hyderabad to pursue a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management at NITHM.

Growing up, she was a chubby child with little confidence and often faced teasing. During the pandemic, she decided to take charge of her life. In just 10 months, she lost 20 kgs, transforming her body and outlook on life. With newfound confidence, she began modelling, working with several brands, and embracing the camera.

Pageantry soon entered her life. After rigorous training, Chandana won Miss Universe Andhra Pradesh 2024 and secured a place among the top 20 nationally, proving resilience and self-belief yield extraordinary results.

As a titleholder, she advocates healthy lifestyles while supporting her family business, Millet Bank, promoting millets and empowering farmers. Cycling became her next pursuit, challenging her physically and mentally. She completed a gruelling 600 km Brevet ride from Trichy to Dhanushkodi in 40 hours, enduring heat, rain, and headwinds. Her vision is to tour India and beyond, spreading awareness about fitness, cycling, and green mobility.

From modelling fashion and jewellery to sports and fitness campaigns, Chandana has become a role model, inspiring thousands on Instagram. Many young people have taken up cycling, fitness, and self-transformation because of her journey.

Her message is clear: “The biggest project of your life is yourself. Work on becoming your best version, and when you transform, the world around you transforms too. A strong and fit person can outshine, outperform, and outlast anyone.”
