Every woman enters a new realm of love with the birth of her child. For Revathi Asokan, the moment her son opened his eyes, he became her whole world. Each smile and every little milestone filled her with joy and wonder.
Revathi was born and raised in Chennai. Her father’s vision and entrepreneurial spirit always inspired her. With a B.E. in Electronics and Communication, she built a promising career in a major IT firm for eight years.
Then her world crumbled. When her son was just 1.5 years old, she discovered that he was highly sensitive to gluten, artificial colours, and preservatives. These reactions were affecting his development. The very food meant to nourish him became a source of struggle, and the weight of a mother’s fear pressed on her. In that quiet, painful moment, Revathi realised that keeping her child healthy would require everything she had: love, courage, and unwavering determination.
From that point on, her life turned into a mission. She blended her dreams with her responsibility as a mother and started two small retail outlets offering curated, preservative-free products to make a difference for children like her son.
When COVID-19 hit, both stores collapsed, leaving her with nearly ₹30 lakhs in losses. Doubt crept in, but her husband’s belief became her lifeline. With determination and no resources, she started making millet laddus and cookies in a friend’s kitchen. Slowly, orders began to come in, and what started as a small operation grew into a thriving B2B business, generating over ₹1 crore in revenue.
Today, Revathi has launched The Clean Food Story, a brand focused on reviving traditional, nutritious food and promoting healthier future generations.
As part of She Is The Story 2026 by The People Story 2026, Revathi’s message is clear: a mother’s love is limitless, and so is her potential. Every challenge she faced, and every risk she took, was not just for her child but for every child out there.
