Even before Vignes had become an entrepreneur, a digital marketer and a grassroots community builder, he was a curious boy who was fascinated by sleight of hand. Because he was interested in magic acts and tricks found on the streets, he would spend a lot of time studying the way illusions functioned. This early childhood interest in magic gradually influenced his entire way of seeing things: the true magic is never to be found in what is visible on the surface; it lies in what takes place behind the scenes.
His urge to look beneath the surface on into the matter served as a steady point of reference throughout the difficulties of his personal life, the detours he experienced in his academic career, and the changes he went through professionally. When studying for a degree in Cybersecurity at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College, Vignes realised that his real education took place well beyond the campus lecture halls. This began with a basic principle handed down to him by his father: however, overwhelming a crisis may appear, changing your focus from the problem to the solution alters the whole situation. Rather than asking himself ‘Why is this happening to me?’, Vignes learned to ask ‘What can I create from this?’
Redefining Networking: Moving Beyond the Rolodex
In today’s business world, networking is generally reduced to merely transactional posturing and becomes a hollow competition aimed at gathering contacts and raising follower statistics. Vignes dismissed that approach from the start.
His foundation was built on practical service at the grassroots level. While serving in various youth leadership positions throughout Tamil Nadu—including periods of leadership with the Kalam Foundations and participation in international human rights advocacy—he became aware of the real difficulties that ordinary people experienced. As a result, he developed a firm belief that true networking is not concerned with social advancement; rather it is about creating mutual value, fostering deep empathy, and opening doors for others.
When Vignes set up the Nalthisai Foundation, his motivation was a desire to serve without having to go through bureaucratic delays. Now, when he thinks about the number of people who follow him on social media, he does not see them as mere figures, but rather as individual conversations, handshakes and shared experiences. For Vignes, the idea that ‘Network = Net Worth’ is not just a slogan used in business; it is something that he has actually experienced. One genuine connection is capable of opening a door, restoring someone’s shattered self-confidence or completely changing a person’s destiny.
Breaking the Catch-22: The Birth of Ideovate
Since he had seen how hard it is to attract attention without the support of established institutions, Vignes came to see a systemic paradox which paralyzes thousands of ambitious young people in the fact that you need experience in order to secure an opportunity, but you need an opportunity in order to get experience.
In order to break the cycle, Vignes founded Ideovate, a digital marketing and AI growth agency with an unorthodox dual objective of providing his clients with innovative digital strategies and at the same time acting as a practical launching pad for young people. Currently, Ideovate gives more than 40 interns—mostly students—a safe environment in which to work on client projects, carry out experiments, make errors, and develop.
From Silent Struggles to the Spotlight
Success is almost never straightforward, and Vignes’s experience was marked by constant struggles with financial hardship, nights spent awake, and the quiet, persistent effect of losing motivation. When you feel ignored in situations where your ideas are actually worthwhile, your confidence can be damaged more quickly than if you had been outright rejected.
The turning point came when he committed to consistent action. This led to a key collaboration with creator and entrepreneur Karthika Kannan, who recognized his potential and opened an important door at the right moment.
In 2026, a journey which had previously been little known reached a significant milestone when Vignes was invited to speak as the chief guest at an entrepreneurial summit organised by Nova Clesta. For a person who had always liked to clap for others from the side, this meant that taking to the stage was proof that sincere and persistent hard work will never remain unseen.
The Freedom Found in “I Tried”
Vignes does not accept the title of having ‘arrived’. He continues to be a committed creator of opportunities, always pushing the limits of his own capabilities. He has a clear and urgent message for anyone who is stuck on the brink of achieving their ambitions: do not let the fear of being judged control the course of your life.
Plans can go wrong, the way ahead can change, and projects can collapse, but failure is only a temporary thing while the regret of never having tried stays with you for the rest of your life. Genuine satisfaction isn’t derived from widespread approval; it comes from having the quiet bravery to move forward, to get in touch with others, and to say, “I showed up, and I tried.”
