In the quiet lanes of Bangalore, when most children are still asleep, an eleven-year-old boy ties his shoelaces and steps onto the track. His name is Kavin, a 5th-grade student at Lakemont Fort School, whose mornings begin with sweat and determination.
Kavin’s love for athletics began in Pre-KG, when he won first place in a school race. That small moment lit a spark in him. His father noticed it and began showing him videos of long jumpers and sprinters, especially Ancy Sojan, whose strength and focus inspired him deeply. From that day, running was no longer just a game; it became his purpose.
But every dream comes with hurdles.
Each day, Kavin travels 16 kilometres to his training ground, returns home, and rushes to school. The long days, the exhaustion, and the sacrifices never stop him. Financial struggles often make things harder. Competition fees, academy costs, and a proper diet weigh heavily on his parents. Yet, his father never gave up on his son’s dream.
When brands told him he was too young for sponsorship, Kavin kept believing. His persistence paid off when Athrise offered support, helping him compete internationally in Dubai, where he won three medals for India.
Kavin’s journey is a reminder that passion has no age and determination has no limit. Sometimes, the smallest runners carry the biggest dreams, and Kavin is already running toward his own sunrise.”
